Why a blog?
Ever since I was a child, I've loved to write. I kept a diary starting at the age of five or six. While some kids ask for a new toy each time they go with mom or dad to the store, I always begged for a new book or notebook. (Black and white composition-style was my favorite.) In the third grade, I participated in a day-long writing workshop and tea party, with my American Girl doll no less.
Writing and editing for the school newspaper was one of my favorite activities in middle school and high school. I studied journalism in college and started my career in the magazine industry in New York City.
Jesus has done some crazy amazing things in my life, calling me into a personal relationship with Him when I was 23 years old. That was when I started to realize what I really want to write about. My blog has evolved and grown since it began in 2015, but it has continued to be a place to share real stories and truth.
These vignettes of my life are held together by the common thread of grace. I'm excited to share with you all the ups and downs—and the reality of the eternal up that's guaranteed for us in Christ. He sheds light into total darkness, continually refining us on this glorious adventure called life. I believe we are called to be a light to others, so that they, too, may know His glory.
If you have a story to tell—or just want a listening ear—shoot me an email. I'd love to hear from you.
